Made in Heaven by Amazon Prime was one of the first web series to create a mark in India’s OTT space. It explored the glitz, glamour and more importantly, the gunk of the big, fat Indian wedding from the lens of two wedding planners from New Delhi. It went on to become a cult hit with the penetration of on-demand television. After Season 1 in 2018, the world had been waiting eagerly for its reboot. So the announcement of this rather auspicious date had to be grand, to say the least.
After a ‘Save the Date’ with a baraat (musical procession before a wedding) across the world, we had to leverage the excitement counting down to the days. So we took the humble marigold flower, the ubiquitous symbol of Indian celebrations without which any festivity is incomplete, and got our cast to empty it from flower markets across Mumbai.
And what did we do with those marigolds? Splashed them across the city to count down to the festivities!
Fun fact: the makers made the shot of the cast in the flower market into the series’ official poster!
